Mobile Diversity

A Mobile Site is Flexible

You have 4 choices when it comes to delivering information to your mobile audience.
  • Do Nothing
  • Build a Mobile App
  • Build or Make Your Website Device Responsive
  • Build a Mobile Web Site

All, but one choice, have their merits and benefits

  • Do Nothing

This is not recommended. Considering up to 79% of your mobile audience will leave your site if they find it difficult and frustrating to work with. Search engines like Google, Yahoo, Bing, MSN etc.. rank a non optimized site lower in search results than “MOBILE FRIENDLY” sites. From an SEO standpoint (search engine optimization), a non optimized site limits your chances of being found when someone searches for your products and services on a mobile device.

  • Build a Mobile App

The amazing growth in the Mobile App market space is quite impressive and a lot of businesses see this as an opportunity to assist and build a deeper more profitable relationship with their mobile audience. But mobile apps have a specific place in the mobile experience and engagement picture.

    Mobile App Facts:

    • Social, Media, Entertainment and Game mobile apps dominate usage and downloads
    • Consumers churn most mobile apps within 30 days of download
    • Only 2% of mobile apps generate more than $50,000 a year
    • You need a Mobile App for at least two of the mobile operating systems (Android and Apple).
    • Every time there’s an operating system upgrade you need to upgrade your mobile app

Apps can be expensive and, in most cases for small businesses, fall short of expectations unless you are developing a Mobile App that fits the success that fits into the successful Mobile App criteria.

  • Build or Make Your Website Device Responsive

This is highly recommended. Responsive sites work great when it comes to delivering large amounts of content and information.

  • Build a Mobile Web Site

A mobile website is your best sales person.

Here’s a list of reasons why integrating a mobile website or “Hybrid App” into your mobile marketing strategy will help increase your bottom line:

    • 79 % of consumers prefer a mobile site for every day brand-consumer engagement
    • Easily deliver relevant landing pages based on what the consumer is searching for
    • More cost effective than Mobile Apps
    • Delivering a unique mobile experience is easier and faster than developing the experience in a responsive site
    • You can roll out more marketing campaigns faster than either a mobile app or a responsive site
    • You can easily change a mobile marketing campaign’s experience based on how the consumer is reacting to the campaign.
